Michelle Johnson studied videography throughout  the late 1980's.  She scored the highest marks in Western Australia  in Media Studies in her B.S.E. in 1980 producing a 3 minute animation called the Shapes of Sound and came second overall in Australia.

Her passion for horses saw her start her business, AOV Productions in 1994, with the aim to film all animals on video and produce keepsake movies for owners to cherish. Horses were the main focus of the business and soon Michelle was filming Horses for Sale and filming at most major events around Western Australia.

She produced the first ever Show Horse Council video of the Top Ten Finalists back in 1994 and still films this event each year along with the Equestrian Federation of WA's Horse of the Year Show. In 2006 she was asked to film at the prestigious Equestrian Australia's National Show Horse and Rider Championships in Werribee, Victoria which she now travels to each year.

With a love for horses and being involved and owning horses since the age of 13, Michelle produces work that moves the viewer and makes them feel a part of the horse and rider, whether it is for a sale or a keepsake memory.

"I started AOV Productions when I separated from my first husband as a way of producing an income to help raise my child, Mitchell as a sole parent.

I have two children, my son Mitchell who is now a talented golfer (not  interested in horses) and a daughter Georgia who has her mother's passion for these wonderful animals and is now enjoying many successes in the showring.
